SportPsych.net is a full service sport psychology consulting firm. We provide mental skills training to athletes, coaches, and teams. We also offer consulting services to businesses and people in the performing arts.

Through our associations, we are able to offer further services in sports conditioning; speed, power and agility training;and sport specific training & instruction.

Dr. Randall Cockshott currently maintains a practice of sport psychology in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has taught courses on the topics of Sport Psychology, Philosophy of Sport, Stress and Coping, and Psychological Testing. His research interests are directed at finding solutions to research questions emanating from current social-cognitive theory. The focus of his current research is on the relationships among achievement-related cognitions, coping strategies and competitive anxiety.

Dr. Cockshott provides sport psychology services to both individuals and teams, consulting with athletes concerning psychosocial factors related to performance. Dr. Cockshott professional area of expertise includes stress management, motivation, and team cohesion. He has served as a consultant for several of Florida State University's athletic teams, including the Men's Tennis team and Men's and Woman's Diving team. In addition to this he has worked with teams at the high school level in the sports of American football, baseball, and track and field. In addition, he has served as a consultant to individuals in the sports of tennis, golf, basketball, and marathon running.
